This is just basic information concerning the TLC diet for diabetic patients.
The acronym TLC stands for Therapeutic Lifestyle Change and is diet for diabetics
Diabetic patients with abnormal levels of cholesterol in their blood are usually advised to follow the TLC diet. this diet involves reduction of foods that are high in cholesterol and also promotes fast and effective weight loss. it consists of certain restrictions in the diet as well as increased activity levels. a diabetic patient on a TLC diet is required to do some physical activities.
The following points are important diet recommendations which should be observed. these are:
1. Total fat consumption should be only 25 – 35% or less of total carbohydrates consumed every day
2. Only 7% or less of saturated fats of the total calories should be consumed per day
3. Polyunsaturated fats should be 10% of total caloric intake per day (example: margarine)
4. Monounsaturated fats should be not less that 20% of daily caloric intake
Following these specifications in the TLC diet and intake at the right proportions can decrease the cholesterol levels and can lead to immediate weight reduction.
Another aspect of the TLC diet is proper consumption of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates should consist of 50-60% of the daily caloric intake. the participant is also encouraged to eat a good amount of fibre. 20-30 grams of fibre is TLC Diet recommendation. excellent sources of fibre include barley, psyllium, beans and oats. Fibre has a number of nutritional benefits and one of them is that is increases intestinal bulk so a person can feel full longer and it encourages good digestion.
This diet also consists of consumption of lean protein. 15-20% of the daily caloric intake should consist of lean protein. Participants of this diet are also required to maintain cholesterol intake and they should not reach 200 mg.
So, if you have Diabeties, along with High Cholesterol and you need to control your weight, you should consider using ProShape RX Pills along with a health diet low in cholesterol. the product is 100% naturally pure and has no side effects
When Should a Diabetic Patient Use a TLC Diet?
Tim Tebow has officially moved up to 3rd on the Denver Broncos depth chart. That can be exciting news for late round or undrafted QB’s but Denver has a very different situation that will play out for the next couple of years.
Kyle Orton is the listed starter, the only proven winner with the arm that was considered far from NFL caliber. they have Brady Quinn who has the gun to develop into an excellent playmaker that Josh McDaniels wants, if he could keep his head and emotions in check. Now there is Tim Tebow the big, strong, leader that gets criticized every which way he turns.
The major criticism started when Tim Tebow decided to stay for his senior year at Florida and bring a national championship there. Tim also is claimed to have a bad throwing delivery that will prevent him from being successful in the NFL. Now from his concussion skeptics are saying that he won’t remain healthy in the NFL. they say his stats dropped substantially between his junior year and his senior year which they really did not except for TD’s thrown, but his rushing yardage and TD’s went up. Lastly they even say he can’t take snaps from under center and will not be able to adapt to the 5 step drop back.
The values he does bring to field that can not be questioned no matter how much emotional pull you have to dislike him. He is a huge body QB coming in at 6′ 3″ tall and 245lbs. while being an amazing athlete. He can understand very complex offensive systems because Florida does run a spread multiple look offense. He has a decent enough arm and can make the throws needed in the NFL compared to a lot of the other QB’s in the league. When you actually look at the top 15 QB’s in the league only a small handful came out of college with BIG NFL arms. He also has unquestioned leadership abilities in just having his players want to play with him and follow what he wants to create on the field.
Tim Tebow to a fault reminds me personally to Daunte Culpepper from a skill and size standpoint. they also compare in my opinion and most importantly as play assistants not playmakers or creators. just like Duante Culpepper was a great fantasy point producer for most of his time in Minnesota with Cris Carter and Randy Moss. Once Randy Moss left and Duante started playing for other teams like Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions he ruined his reputation because he was not a playmaker. both Tim Tebow and Duante Culpepper could produce on any team from inside the 10 yard line, they do have an amazing nose for the end zone.
Tim will get those end zone QB options maybe later in the year if Josh McDaniel puts him on the active roster but to start the year he will probably find himself on the inactive list for Sunday’s. Even if Tim gets the chance to play this year or next year the Denver Broncos currently do not have any playmakers at WR since losing Brandon Marshall.
The Broncos are even considering a WR rotation because no one has stepped up yet. Eddie Royal suffered from a huge sophomore slump that it appeared he had lost speed and agility compared to his rookie year. Demaryius Thomas has great size and skill but can he put it together in the NFL remains a question, he has had some jaw dropping moments in OTA’s so far but also “OH MAN” did that just happen moments also. then really the remaining WR core is Jabar Gaffney, Brandon Llyod, and Brandon Stokley. That WR core is a far cry from the team that allowed Duante Culpepper to become a star QB in Minnesota.
Unfortunatly in the foresable future I don’t see Tim Tebow becoming fantasy relevant. On top of that unless Demaryius Thomas becomes an absolute stud playmaker, and Eddie Royal gets his explosiveness back I don’t plan on seeing Tim Tebow doing much more than being a inside the 5 yard goal line QB.
I will not plan on buying or drafting Tim Tebow in any format no matter how deep the league is. The very small chance he ends up getting to a team that has stacked WR core and then that team is willing to sign or trade for Tim Tebow (highly unlikely), he will just become a career backup, spot starter, and worst of all QB controversy creator.
Tim Tebow will he get a chance

Talk about seeing double! Billy Ray Cyrus is no longer the only Hollywood hottie who’s keeping it business in the front, party in the back. Scottish hunk Gerard Butler made us look twice when we spotted him rocking a Cyrus-worthy mullet of his own while filming his new thriller Machine Gun Preacher in Michigan. Snapped on Monday sporting the new do, the actor completed the biker-appropriate look with a vest and Harley-Davidson T-shirt, while Billy Ray accessorized his current back-swept coif with a sleeveless T-shirt, shades and a long necklace. though we’re used to the look on Miley‘s dad — who can forget his mega-mullet in the “Achy Breaky Heart” era? — we have to admit we’re a little startled seeing ladies-man Gerard’s signature cropped hair and touch of scruff replaced by this new look. Tell us: who rocks his mullet better: Billy Ray or Gerard?

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland — Rory McIlroy set the standard at the British Open today posting 63, while John Daly hit 66 and Tiger Woods 67.The Skanner News Video click hereDaly’s scorecard was the only thing getting more attention than his pants.Golf’s most entertaining sideshow was at it again Thursday, tying his best round at the British Open with a 6-under 66 on the old Course. it put him atop the leaderboard, a spot that, regardless how brief the stay, would have been unimaginable during the latest chapter in his pulp fiction life.

"I’ve never ran from my mistakes. I’ve always kind of been the man that you’re supposed to be when you screw up — and I’ve screwed up an awful lot, not just on tour, but in other aspects of life," Daly said. "I think it’s how you come back and deal with it. I don’t know if it’s motivation for fans or if it’s helping them. whatever it is, as long as it’s a positive, to me that’s all that matters."When you have so many ups and downs in life, like everybody does, some smaller and bigger, it makes it so much more gratifying when you do something special."Daly birdied seven of the first 11 holes, and he might have challenged McIlroy if not for four putts that lipped out. one, on 17, led to his only bogey of the day.that Daly is a spectacular talent has never been in doubt. You don’t go from last alternate to major champion, as he did at the 1991 PGA Championship, without considerable game. and you sure don’t win a second major — the British Open here at St. Andrews, no less — by being lucky.Daly is Everyman. Fans can’t help but be charmed, seeing a little bit of themselves in him. or maybe a little bit of who they would like to be. He hits driver when he should hit irons. He goes for shots that inevitably end badly. He believes "grip it and rip it" is more than just a cute slogan.Daly’s nickname was "Wild Thing," and he more than lived up to it.Among other things, he trashed a hotel room in 1997 during the Players Championship and once did a TV interview to promote a golf course wearing only blue jeans. no shirt, no shoes. the PGA Tour has put him in timeout-mode five times (his disciplinary file was a hefty 456 pages as of the fall of 2008), fined him $100,000 and ordered him to attend counseling or alcohol rehab seven times. He’s also lost part of a considerable fortune to four ex-wives, gambling and bad loans to friends.but at 44, even Daly has had enough of his high-wire act. He’s lost almost 100 pounds since having Lap-Band surgery in February 2009, and said he quit drinking and eating as much junk. the rib and back injuries that made it painful to get his game back in shape have healed."I feel like I’m getting healthier," Daly said. "Being able to work on my game and get some confidence built up, (winning) would be just the most gratifying victory I could ever have."There’s still a long way to go. Daly has three victories worldwide since winning the British Open 15 years ago, and has dropped to 455th in the world rankings. He has just one top-50 finish this year, a tie for 24th at the Puerto Rico Open, and sounded as if he was ready to quit after missing the cut at Torrey Pines earlier this year. After turning back the clock with a first-round 67 at the 2007 PGA Championship at Southern Hills that left him two strokes off the lead, he followed it up with a 73 and ultimately wound up tied for 32nd."I’m not out of it. I’m in it, even if somebody goes out and shoots 7- or 8-under," Daly said. "I feel the game is coming around, and when I’m hitting my driver the way I am right now, it brings confidence."gives the fans a thrill, too. There were appreciative whoops and hollers with every thwack of his driver, and encouraging shouts of "Go get ‘em, JD!" As Daly strolled up the 18th fairway — smoking a cigarette — one fan in the crowd held up a sign reading, "John Daly the most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment." Another carried a poster that said, "John Daly Living Legend.""He’s a role model," one of the men said.even with the wacky wardrobe.Daly may have ditched that shaggy mullet he sported back in 1995, but now he’s wearing pants that can only be described as garish. Thursday’s choice was lavender paisley (his girlfriend wore a matching miniskirt)."All of these pants, the good thing about them is you get dressed in the dark, any shirt is going to match," Daly said. Not really. Daly’s sky-blue sweater, peach shirt and turquoise hat were cringe-worthy, more acceptable for a 3-year-old dressing himself.but as Daly is trying to prove, it’s his game that matters."It’s just a great course and I just love it. I don’t know why, it just suits my game," he said. "It’s, to me, my favorite course all over the world that I’ve ever played. When you’ve got that going for you, you don’t feel disappointed when you don’t play so well."but you feel even better when you do."
